Keeping employees in the loop
Edge Pest Control handled internal communication solely through emails and Microsoft Teams. Company-wide communication needed to improve, and I recognized a need for a better employee communication platform. I brought this up with leadership and worked with departments to design and develop Edge (Saela) News.
I coordinated with the PestMate development team, where we created an API that opened access to all employee users. I built authentication to Saela News through PestMate and connected user data to eliminate the need for leadership to manage employee users, and employees didn’t have to manage another account.
Saela News Emails
Using the PestMate API, I created a WordPress plugin that could send mass HTML emails to employees in the company. The plugin could filter which posts and emails employees with different roles could see and receive.
Automated birthdays
Because I could hook into PestMate, I could automate certain things. For example, I generated a list of weekly birthdays where employees could send each other birthday messages.
